Job Descriptions:
Order lab work and x-rays
Assist patients with care, take vital signs, draw blood, give injections and obtain specimens
Sterile and non-sterile dressing changes
Perform EKGs
Phlebotomy and IV Therapy
Maintain and set up patient rooms
Process patient referrals to specialty providers.
Enter referral and account information into database.
Seek authorization from insurance companies, and completing necessary paperwork.
Utilize PC to enter and retrieve patient data
Assist with patient and family education.
Professional Skills/ Experience: Check vital signs, prep for procedures, draw blood, and obtain specimens
Assist with activities of daily living
Maintain and set up patient rooms
Assist with patient and family education
Assist R.N. with sterile and non-sterile dressing changes
Perform EKGs
Train in Phlebotomy
Utilize PC to enter and retrieve patient data
Answer multi-line phone, operate fax and copy machine.
