Job Description:
Channel Marketing Manager

Salary Information: $65K - $85K

The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and
implementation of marketing activities to drive profitable growth in the
Industrial and Welding channels of distribution.

The position reports to the Vice President of Channel Marketing and works
closely with product management, communications, sales, finance and
planning functions.

Responsibilities:
· Implement programs that can be successfully leveraged to drive
sales and market share gain
· Ensure programs are comprehensive and directly aligned with the
strategic priorities of the business to deliver corporate objectives
· Understand key drivers in channel through direct contact with key
channel partners and sales
· Must provide highly disciplined and organized project management,
often within tight timeframes, including coordination with product
management, marketing communications, sales and other groups as necessary
· Leverage "best practices" in marketing concepts within assigned
channel
· Act as a "liaison" between the Industrial channel and the business
to ensure that the needs of both are clearly articulated and understood
· Work with product management, marketing communications and sales
to execute effective, actionable communications crafted for the industrial
channel
· Work with the product management team to drive the product launch
process to ensure channel deliverables are inherent in the overall launch
plan
· Proactively initiate and manage line reviews with key distributors
· Develop metrics for promotions and launches; Track and report on
results
· Monitor and report on competitive activity and marketing programs
within channel

Qualifications:
· A Marketing BS is required (MBA preferred)
· 6+ years experience in channel marketing in hard goods industry
· Strong leadership skills and ability to be diplomatically
persuasive / assertive
· Proven success in developing and managing channel marketing
programs and activities
· Follow-through skills & strong attention to detail
· Exhibit a sense of urgency and independent initiative toward
accomplishing objectives
· Industrial marketing experience is preferred
· Thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment
· High energy and strong customer focus
· Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are
essential
· Team player – position is cross-functional and requires
significant teamwork
· The ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels
· Organization skills, managing many diverse projects with different
deadlines and priorities
